A wet pour safety surface is a continuous bonded rubber surface. It is durable, soft cushioned and porous. It is suitable for all installations where a safety surface is required. It is traditionally used around playground equipment and in schools and nurseries, as it can help to avoid, or substantially reduce, the risk of injury to children who fall in playgrounds. Because it is porous, puddles don’t form on the surface and the safety surface dries very quickly after it has rained.
Wet pour is such a versatile surface and is used in many applications, such as parks, playgrounds, golf course walkways, stables, around swimming pools, care homes and domestic homes.
This rubber safety surface is virtually maintenance free, is cost effective and is safe.
The surface is available in a variety of finishes and colours, and as it is so versatile we are able to design and install logos, characters and shapes in your wet pour surface. This makes the surface interesting, exciting to children and can provide great branding where logos are included in the surface.

The type of rubber we use for our installations is EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Di Monomer) virgin wet pour rubber granules. This is used for our black and coloured rubber safety surfaces. Surfacing depths for the rubberised flooring can be from 20mm to 110mm. The depth is determined by the operating height of the playground equipment and the proximity of other supplies and equipment.
All of our wet pour systems are installed in accordance with and certified to: BS EN 1177: 1998. Our products and services are approved by 'RAPRA' Europe's leading independent research, technology and information provider specialising in rubber and plastics. We can provide a copy of our wet pour rubber standards certificate.
